Today marks the launch of Mental Health Awareness Week, the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health.
The week, which is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, is in its 22nd year and runs from 9-15 May.
RMA – The Royal Marines Charity recently funded a ski-therapy trip to Chamonix, France. The aim of the project is to continue the recovery of wounded, injured or sick Royal Marines in a challenging environment, participating in various snow sports, to learn or develop their skiing or boarding to assist their recovery, with the guidance of expert instructors.
The Devizes to Westminster International Canoe race is an ultra-marathon that takes place every Easter weekend and is the longest non-stop canoe race in the world.
RMA – The Royal Marines Charity, War Memorials Trust, The Highland Council and Commando Association have funded different elements of the major improvements to the memorial garden as well as commissioning repairs and appropriate cleaning of the Grade A Listed sculpture.
Substantial donations donated by the public at the site have also made these works possible.

NHS England has launched a survey to find out people’s views and experiences of veterans’ mental and physical health services. The information gathered will be used to help inform the development and provision of these services in the future.
