The UK Veterans Family Study is exploring the experiences of spouses/intimate partners and adult children (18+ years) of UK Armed Forces Veterans and they’re recruiting participants who want to share those experiences.
Sean Ivey was discharged from the Royal Marines in 2016. In March 2021, after confronting youths about anti-social behaviour, Sean’s house was firebombed, and he and his family had to flee for their lives in the middle of the night.

Recently, RMA – The Royal Marines Charity awarded a small grant of £250 to enable a Veteran dealing with mental health issues to attend a wilderness course in Scotland.
RMA – The Royal Marines Charity was contacted through our website by his daughter Deborah informing us that her father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2021 and given 2-6 months to live.
This year, the theme for the week is ‘Nature’. Across the country, people will be celebrating the mental health benefits of being around nature in their local community in a range of digital and creative ways.
The Veteran Support event will showcase the support available to Veterans and their families. Speakers will focus on a different element of support, topics will include housing, family support, financial advice, and mental health and wellbeing.
We are pleased to announce a 2 year partnership launching in April 2021 with The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust’s specialist, target programme, One is Too Many.
