Are you a qualified Driver Trainer with an LGV C+E Driving Licence which you have held for a minimum of three years? You may be looking for a better work-life balance or wish to continue with employment post redundancy or career change. Ideally, you will be an NVDIR or NRI qualified LGV Instructor, or you may hold an MoD Defence Driving Instructor Certificate (DLAI)
Due to continued growth, A. W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd. is looking for additional LGV Driver Trainers to join our Team, based from Penrith. The business operates a large fleet of LGV Vehicles with maintenance workshops over four separate sites and several depots around the country.
The position involves:
- Licence acquisition and on the job training for drivers.
- Deliver relevant training and conduct driver appraisals for new and existing drivers.
- Administer and present DCPC courses.
- Those successful will also be involved in our Bootcamp training scheme
The successful candidates will have a valid LGV licence and experience of bulk transport. Ideally you will be a DSA or NIR qualified instructor with excellent presentation skills, with a basic teaching qualification, e.g. PTLLS and IOSH Managing Safely Certificate, though training will be provided where necessary.
As the company operates throughout the United Kingdom there will be a requirement to travel and the need for a flexible approach to work as there will be the requirement for some early starts and late finishes.
